EPR E-Waste Production Demanded is increasing in Every Country

Listen, Singapore produces more than 60,000 tonnes of electrical and electronic waste (e-waste) each year, and the rate of e-waste production is demanded to increase in tandem with economic growth and the currency of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) among users and businesses. E-waste includes relevant sources that can be obtained through proper treatment and handling processes. It also includes small quantities of dangerous substances that may harm the environment and our health, if badly disposed of.

We realize there is a must to encourage recycling of all helpful and valuable material from e-waste to maintain the ever consuming natural resources. Recycling end-of-life rejected products is vital if we are to save resources and minimize landfill. Corpseed Ites Pvt. Ltd understands its responsibility and in this regard, we have tied-up with one of the leading and authorized e-waste recycler namely 3R Recycler for facilitating our customers to enable them to dispose of e-waste products after its end-of-life.

Given the above, the Corpseed is offering a regulated e-waste management system that will guarantee the usual collection and treatment of e-waste and the removal of relevant sources from e-waste. The managed e-waste management method will also safeguard the atmosphere and our health.

The regulated e-waste management method will be based on the EPR E-Waste (Extended Producer Responsibility) procedure, where generators bear the duty for the collection and handling of their products when they reach end-of-life. This EPR policy will be achieved through the Resource Sustainability Act (RSA), offered by our organization.

An organization is a Producer of a controlled electrical and electronic product if it:

  1. Takes on the business of supplying the improved product in Singapore; and
  2. In the progress of that business:

a)      Imports the improved product into Singapore; or

b)      Manufactures the improved product in Singapore1; or

c)       Joins another person to produce the ordered product in Singapore, or different causes such manufacture.

The five product categories ordered are below:

  1. Solar photovoltaic panels;
  2. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment;
  3. Large appliances;
  4. Batteries; and
  5. Lamps.

The Corpseed will appoint a Producer Responsibility Scheme (PRS) Operator to produce and perform a system to organize the collection and recycling of regulated customer products, on behalf of the producers. The PRS Operator will be selected by an open tender in 2020, and the winning bidder will be wanted to:
